The world is never fairI decided to blog about the trip!!
SEVEN DAYS TRIP TO CAMBODIA.
Accomodation in Asia Hotel,
which is pretty good,
at least, there wasnt at much blackouts
as karimun, in fact theres only ONE.
And my room mate is LEQI,
cos we got same habit,
bath without closing doors. HAHA
anyway i think everyone in the team is great,
omg JUST love the part of everyone in this team.
HAHA and i love my bus ride mate, minqi too!
Our comments through all the bus jorney HAHA,
entertaining!!
And all the crazy j3sss!! and definitely JOPOH,
OKAY EVERYONE LAH, shit, hahah canot finish.
Our team split into two groups
for two different ongoing project.
And i belong to the KOH RAMDUAL ISLAND PROJECT.
The one where we have to take boat across every morning.
The island is only maybe the size of Sentosa,
and its a really depressing/devastating little island,
because it was used as a killing field
during the pol port regime,
and now it houses the people,
that are so called abandoned there by the govt.
Mostly widows and kids.
And its as if they are all still in stone age,
in little huts with almost nothing,
with many many cows, plantations, dogs, chickens,
its like a little jungle.
Which was rather peaceful!
Whats worse in that litle island,
is the Institution where some people are locked up.
Omg, i went in.
AND ITS DISTURBING.
DISTURBING. DISTURBING. DISTURBING.
Its not a very nice sight to see them
all locked up in a room the size of a classroom,
lying there, doing nothing,
with a little toilet at the side.
Thats the one i couldnt stop talking to leqi about,
like for a few nights,
we were trying to think of WHYWHY,
why are they treated like that?!??!
and alotalot more unanswered qn about
HUMAN RIGHTS.
Maybe they do have their reason for doing so.
I just do not like to think that,
they have nothig to look forward to,
but in a blunt way,
they are simply waiting to die :/
We completed 95% of the hut, and omg
the hut is the one where everything goes wrong.
We were getting exploited, haha
everyday the carpenter says theres enough materials,
so everyday,
we kept buying logslogslogs,
and then bambooos,
and the the correct size of nails.
we transport them from a place to another on a daily basis.
If not theres nothing else we can do.
Plus it kept raining, which certainly slowed down
the process by alotalot.
Also we distributed donations to the
people living on the island,
omg, violent tendencies is evident.
Its pretty scary for they just snatch and pull it outta your hand.
They scratch sometimes too.
We had to stop halfway,
cos it was getting quite outta hand,
like they're all about to attack us!
Hahah so we left the rest for the two orphanages
that we visited.
Communicating with people
in that island really teaches you ALOTALOT,
and seeing their way of life,
makes you want to do more for them!
We visited the two orphnages that were in the city,
but it isnt very much better too.
I felt that the living conditions were not so good still,
but they house up to a hundred kids.
I guess hygiene is a problem for them too.
Its like their ceiling were falling them in their dorm,
they have algae growing on the wall,
they do not have lights.
And then on the second last day there,
we visited the TUOL SLENG musuem which was once a school,
but was used as a torture chamber during the war.
its terrible, we got to see the beds where they were chain up and tortured,
apparently the blood stains were
unable to be washed off,
you can see them all over the floor,
it makes me really nauseous,
and the little cells were chilling,
it was so mini, maybe only enough for you to lie down
and NOTHING else.
its cruel.
We visited the killing fields too,
where we see like 8000 skulls,
people whom were victims of the war,
we saw the mass graves,
where people were all buried together.
And then when we see the map,
there were many big areas where they have yet
to dig, which maybe means more victims.
Their clothes were kept and we saw some at the foot of a tree,
omg.
Anyway throughout the trip,
the two very person that work alongside with us
are TOMMY&SERENA,
and seriously they are SAINTS.
I ADMIRE THEM.
They commit like 30+ years of their lives to missionaries,
to helping people,
those orphanages and the little island.
Mind you, they do not even have a stable income themselves,
its purely volunteery work, mainly to help.
We also worked with KHA people,
its a organisation that also houses volunteers,
those of university age that wants to help.
Three of them worked really closely with us on the island,
and they were GREAT HELP,
other than building, they helped us as translaters as well,
And they're really funny HAHA,
Moeun,Sopiak and Soraign!
I miss them already!
I guess all of us really became good friends with them!
A very sad goodbye
cos one of them mention that,
we might not see each other again,
and that probablynext lifetime,
hahaha a little cheesy,
but think about it, you never know.
And one of the KHA members that, Moeun emailed me!!!
Wah he email makes me miss them alotalot more,
make me emo only HAHAHA
This is what he said!!
"Hi LuLu, how are today? how about your trip? when did you arrive home?and what about your friends? For me, i miss you so much. You know when all of you go far away from me, i got terrible sick and lose my weight alot, please don't worry about me maybe i recover soon. Now i study hard in your language because i want to improve myself to communicate better with you. Please take care your health and study hard. From your best friend, Moeun"Thats about the serious, working and helping
throughout the trip,
but definitely everyday, there were plenty of
CRAZY, RETARDED STUPID and FUN MOMENTS
HAHAHAHAHA
And they're really funny.
Its always good to have poeple as climax relief on the team!
MANY STUPID JOKES ON THE TRIP.
But i dont like it when IM THE JOKE
HAHA or rather MY NAME IS THE JOKE.
You know, IM YUNLU, but i dont know why
the two very annoying person,
one muscleman&one demure lady,
calls me
yun LOOOOOOOOOOO every time they feel bored,
and worse,
dont know who just came up with
Lulu in chinese
meaning GREEN GREEEN.
OMG, everyday it just gets worst
HAHAHAHA
oh and you know,
the island we went too,
is cows infiltrated,
HAHA and u know how cow go MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
which kinda sounds a abit like LUUUULUUUU,
so everytime a cows mooo,
they are supposedly to be calling for me,
HAHAHA
yeah im a cow's best friend.
And then my
BRACES,
apparently they are amused with braces,
or just that, i always get food stuck in it,
and have to dig it out.
It became a joke too ,i dont know how.
Just had to imitate me,
and pass me toothpick during EVERYEVERY MEAL,
and purposely see how i dig.
AHHHHHHH, i might go crazy if the trip is
a little longer. HAHAHA
Oh but my braces is really a joke at the airport.
Cos everyone has to passes thru the censor thing,
you know when you they also checked your luggage,
mine sounded the alarm,
probably because of the metal in my mouth,
so they had to run a detector on me,
HAHAHA now,
from mr ho, im called
METAL MOUTH,
thank god,
that was only at the returning flight.
What else,
we had a teacher whom is
IMMENSELY TERRIFIED
of BRA,and leqi just flash it right infront of him,
omg i guess it could have been
the most unlucky&traumatising moment of his life.
What else HAHAHA OH,
i was exploring the island with her again also,
and then we had a cow blocking our ONLY narrow path,
so we tried talking to the cow,
like GO AWAY PLEASE, SHOOO SHOOOO
for llike terribly long, and it just stand in front,
and stare at us HAHA
like WTH ALIENS are these.
Theres this
YUWEN JOKE,about her BAO face, HAHAHA
OMG thats funny okay,
she was trying to squeeeze out splinters
i think, and then
bryan(nehmind muscleman) was llike,
later the splinters poke into her face,
and the face go shrinking, HAHAH
like all the things inside zoooooooooooooooom out.
HAHAHA okay omg, its funnier if you look at him
The
alvin and claire joke.Claire has some scratches on her hand,
and so alvin asked what happened.
Claire: The chicken pecked on my hand
HAHA usually, people will go
HUH OMG REALLY?! pain anot??!!!!?
But alvin went:
"HUH THE CHICKEN CAN FLY SO HIGH MEH???"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
omg he owned it all.
Eh i cant rmb every other thing now,
but i'll just blog it as and when i rmb,
so for now thats it!!!
I guess if you really see
how the people there are treated,
you would wish to be able to do more to help,
and realise how lucky we all are.
Its really good to have people that feels the same way
as i do throughout the trip,
and discusssing about how we can start,
and raising many qn
although most are still unanswered.
I want to return to Cambodia!
and continue to help them.
Of all the trips,
this cambodia trip is probably the
MOSTMOST meaningful one,
which really touches you from deep within.
Its also the one that makes me curse most
about how immoral&evil&satanic&cruel people
used to be and still can be.
How people are treated like animals.
WHOOOOOOO LONG LONG POST,
IM TRYING TO SPREAD AWARENESS. HAHA
dont you think,
i have the potential to be mother theresa.
HAHAHAHAHA
Change your opinions about me now,
ITS NOT TOO LATE YET.
AND OMG
TANNY WONG HAS BEEN TERRIBLY NICE TO ME,
i cant blif what she did.
HAHAHAHA
Go to www.laughoutloud.com.sg,
and then click the "MAKE A FACE"
and you will know why.
She reckons that my face,
yes my face,
which i strongly hope to be able to deny,
would be able to win her a year supply of green tea.
*$(#&(#&$(*
HAHAHA.
